Every ring is carved from a single piece of warm, honey-brown wood, with a smooth, rounded band and a gently shaped opening. A hare with long upright ears, a bird with its wings spread, a warthog with its bristled mane and a monkey with its mouth open sit on top, each one individually characterful. The carving is simple and a little naive, in the way of good folk art, and every figure is different, so the set works as a small menagerie on the table. They also look good on a shelf or sideboard when not in use.
